OK, I'm totally going to rip off the 10 movies and put them here because I hate those sites where you have to click 11 times to see the 10 movies just so they can get more hits or whatever. And if you click on the link I submitted to get to the original article, that's what you'll get.So here we go...!
10. The Patriot
Mel Gibson impales an evil British soldier with an American flag! Subtlety, thy name is Roland Emmerich.
9. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
What's more American than apple pie? Jimmy Stewart. This Frank Capra classic might just restore your faith in democracy.
8. Yankee Doodle Dandy
So rousing, you'll wish there were still war bonds to run out and buy.
7. The Pride of the Yankees
Nothing says "Fourth of July" like baseball, although we have a feeling this might not play so well if you're invited to a barbecue in Boston.
6. Saving Private Ryan
There are a lot of stirring tributes to the soldiers of World War II to choose from, but Steven Spielberg's visceral account may be the only one that can compete with fireworks.
5. Independence Day
Celebrate our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of whooping E.T.'s ass.
4. Miracle
Hockey? In the summer? Never mind the heat. If your eyes don't well up when the 1980 U.S. Olympic men's hockey team converges on that gold medal platform, you're no patriot.
3. Red Dawn
Under siege from foreign invaders, a young, ragtag group of American kids defend their homeland. Wolverines!
2. Uncle Sam
C'mon " even horror fans have to have a little fun on the Fourth! "Uncle Sam Wants You Dead!"
1. Rocky IV
Nothing inspires a little "Go America" than watching a red, white, and blue-clad Rocky Balboa fight a relic of the Cold War.
There you go! Happy 4th everybody!!
