Still No Green Light for Third Narnia?
The once very promising franchise that was staring down three or four sequels is not getting automatic greenlights.
The once very promising franchise that was staring down three or four sequels is not getting automatic greenlights.

For a 200 million film like Prince Caspian to gross less than 150 million domestically is a disappointment despite making up for it overseas raking in 278 million internationally.
If the sequel gets a green light now to start shooting it would be aiming for a summer 2011 release. A problematic release date at best, if you're not a Marvel or DC film during that summer you can not expect huge opening weekends or 200+ million receipts. Captain America comes out in May, Spiderman 4 is likely to be released sometime in that summer, The First Avengers movie in mid July,&if Dark Knight's sequel is on schedule it will also be released that summer. A summer that will spoil comic book fans even more than this year.

- 480 days agoI liked Caspian better than The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe it skewed to older age range (12-15) than the first film's (9-12). The action scenes were fine tuned & almost everything else was better, too.
- 480 days agoThere's no chance I see any more of those movies anyways. I damn near fell asleep during the second one.
